Garcia came over from the Boston Red Sox in the Johan Oviedo trade and has already shown why the Pirates were interested. He brings real raw power, the ability to play all three outfield spots, legitimate center-field defense, and enough athleticism to be more than a one-dimensional corner bat. The big question is whether the chase and swing-and-miss concerns will limit his ceiling, or if his power and defensive floor can make him a real piece for Pittsburgh.
