家长:你常因为什么原因看不起一个人
from Quora Selected 附导读
What do you most often look down on people for?Matthew Bates, Teacher (2009-present)What do you most often look down on people for?Logistical reasons. For 99% of humans, if I want to maintain eye contact when speaking to them, I must look down at them. I suppose I could kneel or crouch, but that would get awkward.Ok, now for my real answer…I look down on people for their parenting skills. Yes, I’m really judgmental about certain things, like parents who:Never discipline their children.Don’t respond to requests for meetings with teachers.Don’t follow through with suggestions from experts concerning their child’s best interests.Put their children in programs that aren’t good fits for the children, but the parents want the prestige of the program.Never look up from their phones during parent night at school.Continue to defend their children even after presented with irrefutable evidence that their child is lying.Disregard their children’s bullying, sexist, racist, or homophobic behavior as “boys will be boys” or “just a phase” or “teachers and other parents making too big of a deal out of nothing.”I’m basing each of those off of actual encounters I’ve had with parents in the past. Some of them apply to multiple parents I’ve dealt with.
