家居:为什么中国人(包括在美华裔)都不用洗碗机
from Quora Selected 附导读
Why don't Chinese people, even in the US, use dishwashers?Wansai OunkeoAnswered Apr 29What I am going to say may offend some people and it is not true of every Asian, so take it with a grain of salt. Old Asian people tend to have their weird beliefs. Here goes:A lot of older Asians think Americans lack the skill to wash dishes, that’s why they get dish washers. Why is this the case?I think they see how Americans on TV wash dishes. They run the dish under water then put it away, or they soap it then put it away, with soap still on the plate.Old Asian sees it and gasps. Then at other times they see Americans use their dish washers. They rinse the plate. Sometimes they scrub the plate. Then the put the plate in the dishwasher. You are already washing the dishes, why use a machine to do it after you washed it? Madness. Our family has only ever used a dishwasher a few times, and only because it came with the house. The children (us) did the dishes, and we got it cleaner hand wahing than machine washing. Dish washers tend to always leave bits of gunk on the plate.Did you know that rice can get really sticky and need to be physically scrubbed off? When I hand wash dishes while I was living with my parents, I used to glide my hand over the plate as I rinse the soap off. Any tiny bit of dried rice or food materials I could then detect and rescrub. My parents use the dishwasher now… for storing plates after they have been thoroughly hand washed.
