Jill Rappaport From Animal Planet's The Dog Bowl

from Arroe Collins All Level Sports... · host Arroe Collins

Everyone loves Animal Planet’s annual adoption extravaganza, The Puppy Bowl, which will once again air before Super Bowl on February 2, and now, back for its third year, comes The Dog Bowl – the one-hour competition for adult and senior dogs living in rescues and shelters airing Saturday, February 1st at at 8PM ET/PT. While these loving dogs may have a few years under their collars and they’re frequently overlooked for puppies, Dog Bowl audiences will see the amazing spirit and love these players can bring to any loving family. This year, the game features more dogs than ever before (65) as two team rosters – Team Goldies and Team Oldies – will compete to score touchdowns to win the CHEWY Lombarky trophy. To date, 100% of the dogs that have participated in The Dog Bowl have been adopted to loving families. In addition, past Dog Bowl players will return for the very first ‘Dog Bowl Hall of Fame,’ updating viewers on where these debonair dogs ended up and the families that brought them home. Returning as host of The Dog Bowl is TV personality and animal advocate Jill Rappaport. Jill spent more than 20 years covering entertainment and animal welfare on NBC’s TODAY, where she received the Genesis Award, the Oscars of the animal world, for her reporting on animal issues. She is the best-selling author of People We Know, Horses they Love, Jack & Jill: The Miracle Dog with a Happy Tail to Tell, and 500 Cats. Jill has received numerous awards and honors for her work with animals, and even developed a women and pets clothing line for Pendleton, which benefits the Jack and Jill Fund for animal cancer.
