As the hosts of Small Towns Unscripted, we were incredibly honored to sit down with two remarkable community pillars—Jim and Judy Wall.From apple orchards to boardrooms, courtrooms to community halls—Jim and Judy’s journey is a rich blend of public service, dedication to the land, and a lifelong devotion to one another.Jim Wall, a Lake Chelan Valley native, graduate of Chelan High School and Wenatchee Valley College, and longtime Manson resident, served over 20 years as a commissioner for the Chelan County Public Utility District. During his tenure, he played a key role in the creation of Chelan’s beloved Riverwalk Park—helping to shape a vision that became a lasting gathering place for the community. His leadership guided policies on public access, land use, easements, and recreational safety on the Chelan River Gorge—all with the goal of preserving the valley’s natural beauty for future generations.Judy McKenzie Wall was appointed in 1996 by Governor Booth Gardner to serve on the Eastern Washington Growth Management Hearings Board, where she served as an administrative law judge for 16 years. She’s a certified mediator in 14 areas and has dedicated countless hours volunteering with courts and Dispute Resolution Centers throughout Washington. Locally, Judy has given deeply of herself through the Lake Chelan Hospital Guild, the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, and numerous civic efforts. She is a lifetime member of Kiwanis International and was honored with the Chamber’s Citizen of the Year Award—a reflection of her tireless commitment to serving others.Together, Jim and Judy have lived a life full of purpose—from cultivating orchards and raising a family, to championing thoughtful growth, justice, and the wellbeing of their community.
