Jim Duckett, a 43-year-old U.S. Army veteran, had not been seen or heard from in more than a day, having been a no-show at his church the prior morning. Attempts to reach him via telephone had been unsuccessful, and his truck was missing from his driveway.Katherine had actually dropped by Jim's home the night prior to check in on him, but was unable to see much inside. The lights inside had been turned off, except for a single bathroom light.
