He also went through several significant events in his life but maintained peace through his faith.Jim picked up running again as a master and recounts his experiences at the Azalea Trail Run. He learned the importance of enjoying the moment and building relationships rather than worrying about winning. He emphasizes the importance of having close friends and mentors who believe in them, no matter what their results are, and to have balance in their lives. He believes that running is a school for understanding pain and encourages runners to be kind to themselves and to offer empathy for those who are suffering. Healing is a process.Jim emphasizes the importance of investing in a coach and seeking professional help when necessary. Jim started as a sprinter but later realized he was better suited for longer distances.
