Jimmy Kimmel’s Late-Night Future in Question | US News

Rumors swirl that Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show could end in 2027 after his current contract expires, but ABC has firmly shut down those claims—calling them pure speculation. Despite Kimmel’s 24-season run and his outspoken political takes (especially on Trump), the network says any potential exit is tied to broader cost-cutting moves—not personal friction. Kimmel himself has hinted at eventual retirement, and his one-year contract extension reflects the shifting TV landscape. For now, the show’s back for another season, with no official finale date set—and fans are left guessing what’s next.
