J'Lon Lyons Narrowed to Eight | Marquette Golden Eagles Basketball News

Six-foot-three guard J’Lon Lyons, a top 2027 recruit from Clinton, Maryland, has narrowed his college basketball list to eight elite programs: Maryland, Syracuse, Tennessee, Butler, Washington, VCU, Virginia, and Georgetown. What sets Lyons apart is his emphasis on consistency and connection — coaches who’ve been with him since his sophomore year are the ones who made the cut. He’s not just looking for talent; he wants a place where he can step in and make an immediate impact as a freshman. His biggest priority? A clear plan for how he’ll fit into the team’s strategy right away. Now, these eight schools must prove they can deliver both on-court vision and off-court loyalty — and Lyons is watching closely to see who gets it right.
