Joakim Nömell är gift och har fyra barn. Han arbetar som datapedagog på Stockholms syncentral och är en obotlig tekniknörd som gillar att träna ofta och hårt. Joakim är också blind som en följd av retinoblastom, cancer i ögats näthinna. Det upptäcktes för sent och vid ett års ålder var Joakim helt blind. Joakim gästar Eva idag och de pratar dels om hans deltagande i TV programmet "Mot alla odds"
