Nasceu em 1971, em Paris, três anos antes do 25 de Abril. O pai fugiu da Guerra Colonial para Paris e casou com a mãe por correspondência. A família regressou a Portugal no verão de 1974, mas um ano antes, com apenas 2 anos, já tinha viajado para Lisboa “sozinha” - "Vim passar o Natal. Mandaram-me num avião com uma etiqueta". Cresceu rodeada de artistas, cantores e pintores. Bebeu as influências dos pais e da avó, pintora, com quem aprendeu a fazer croché. Depois da primeira peça em Serralves, tem somado muitos sucessos e é uma das artistas de renome no país. Acredita que um artista “nunca está a trabalhar” e que o seu papel também é “inquietar”. Quase todas as peças inquietam e confessa que a maior desilusão foi o lustre feito de tampões ter sido censurado em Versalhes.
