Joaquin Roces, From Unhoused to Running for Reno Mayor

As part of our series on interesting candidates running for local office, Joaquin Roces was sleeping at the Nevada Cares Campus just a few months ago, but was able to find housing and is now running to be Reno's mayor. He has lived experience with issues facing many Reno residents, from dealing with the affordability crisis to surviving mental health struggles. He also has new ideas for the Biggest Little City.
