Jobbing Out - March 9, 2017 (Talking Hall of Fame with Teddy Long, playa)

from Jobbing Out · host JobbingOut

AJ is gallivanting through Europe, but it's ok, as Glenn and Aaron tap Rams Head Live's Brandon Linton to fill in for the week. They talk...well, talk may not be the right word...about the week in wrestling, and of course start with Fastlane, and the decision to put the title on Goldberg. Glenn is outraged, and while Aaron isn't thrilled, he tries to find the logic behind the move. So of course they go back and forth on just how egregious this is. If that's not enough, Aaron gets all worked up about how they're using Bayley. But hey, at least what they're doing with Triple H, Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens is somewhat interesting, right? After all that (53:00) they move over towards Smackdown. While not as vitriolic towards Smackdown, they do have some questions on if they're approaching the title scene the right way. They appreciate the way the story is being told with AJ and Shane though, even if they don't necessarily agree with the ultimate destination. And they wonder what's the plan for the Smackdown women's title picture. Is this simply a way to get everyone on the card, or is there a bigger plan, possibly involving a certain buzzsaw on NXT? Finally, in segment 3 (1:23:30), Glenn gets the opportunity to talk to new WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long. They talk about being announced for the HOF, his favorite moments of his career, and his views on the current state of the business. After talking to Teddy Long, they wrap up by talking about the Hardys and Bully Ray showing up at Ring of Honor, their future, and what it means for all of the non-WWE wrestling companies.
