From there I scope THE THING prequel and wonder why so little effort was made to separate the film from the '82 classic. Moreno checks out the Pixies documentary, loudQUIETloud and then I tell him about Kevin Spacey's beard in FATHER OF INVENTION. We also start "The Positively cynical Corner" by reviewing John Carpenter's THE THING ( and CAPE FEAR, secretly), answer some random voicemails that lead us to the quality of Gene Hackman's career, awesome TV plots that were dropped, and actually having to stick up for the original HALLOWEEN.
