Some of you may have witnessed the smell of rotten eggs that engulfed large parts of Johannesburg recently. The city has since confirmed that the smell was caused by hydrogen sulphide and sulphur dioxide in the air, and this placed a lot of people at higher risk of poor health outcomes and premature deaths.
