Joe Purpose meaning and a belief that things can get better

from Adam · host Adam Webber

Joe has had his entire family taken away from him. He has experienced fear in a way that is hard for me to fully comprehend. When one of his children that he and his wife had adopted died from very sad circumstances (the birthmother was a drug addict) the state stepped in and without a fair investigation he found his entire life ripped away. They took his kids and his wife ended up sentenced to life in prison. Joe was not sure if the state was going to also try and lock him in prison as well. Joe spent days when he didn’t know if he could function or how he would move forward in life. But he did, he reached out to his family and friends for support. He teaches classes on financial literacy and works with people who are getting out of the prison system to make sure that they can find a stable path forward. He also teaches math to his students. Surrounding himself with support but also providing so much love and support to others has helped Joe move forward one day at a time.
