Joe Ruttman on Real Racin' USA

Joe Ruttman has seen a lot racing in his day. He made his first Winston Cup start in 1963, at the age of 18, his last Winston Cup Start in 2004, a period spanning FIVE decades! In 225 career Winston Cup starts, he finished in the top ten 60 times, or approx. 1 in every 4 starts, and accumulated 19 top five finishes. Joe has won 13 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Races and was also the 1980 USAC Stock Car Champion .His brother won the 1952 Indianapolis 500, and still is the youngest winner on record at 22 years, 80 days. As a young adult, he drove for "Bug" Go-Karts, winning karting events throughout the Southwest.
