Joe performed alongside his brothers, Jim and Buddy, starting their professional career as children on the Grand Ole Opry in 1948. The group produced and starred in the syndicated TV show America Sings from 1967 to 1976, which reached millions of viewers weekly. Most famous for their gold-selling gospel standard "One Day At A Time" (1975) and their country crossover hit "Still The One" (1982).Joe and his brothers recorded the original theme song for the popular 1980s detective show Simon & Simon, titled "Best of Friends".
