Joey Logano On Being Coined as “Sliced Bread” & The Pressure Of Being A Childhood Prodigy

With football starting up and the loaded football season we have, the boys are taking a break but, keep an eye out for season 2 👀. We decided to give you guys a banger of an episode for our last episode with Joey Logano.  The guys get right into all of the beefs that Joey has had throughout his career and which ones he may or may not regret. Then they get into what it was like being coined as the “chosen one” and given the nickname “Sliced Bread”. Joey gets into what the pressure was like being a childhood prodigy and the pressure that comes along with it. He also gets into what it was like taking over for Tony Stewart and what went wrong with the 20 team for him to eventually lose the ride.  Will and Taylor ask what the relief was like when Joey finally on his first championship in 2018. He said it felt like he was finally able to get the monkey off his back and how it felt like he was only really able to enjoy the feeling for 15 minutes before his mindset shifted to the next season. Joey also comments on the trend of him only winning the championship in even years and how he could only win in the old playoff format. He gets into how that comment bothers him and how he and is team are using it for motivation heading into this years playoffs.
