John 14:1-14 Jesus said “I Am the Way the Truth and the Life” (Ep.036), A. Fifth Sunday of Easter

In this reading and in this episode Jesus is comforting and preparing the disciples. He tells them that he is going away to be with the Father. They are likely very upset by this news and Jesus says “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.” He tells them that he is “the way, the truth and the life”. He explains that if they have seen him they have seen the Father. He says “I am in the Father and the Father is in me”. Finally he tells them that they will do great things in his name.
