John 15:4 | Abide in Me

This is the hinge of the whole chapter. Remain in me, and I in you. Jesus describes what happens when a branch tries to produce on its own. It does not bear less fruit. It bears none.You can be skilled and disconnected at the same time. You can be competent and running dry. You can be producing output that looks like fruit but is actually just activity.
