John Block and Christo Scholtz are not fugitives-Hawks

SAfm — Former chairperson of the ANC in the Northern Cape, John Block, and businessman businessman Christo Scholtz are expected to apply for bail on Monday. It was earlier reported that they have been declared fugitives for failing to hand themselves over to start their 15-year sentences for fraud and corruption relating to lease agreements between 2006 and 2008 with state entities. The pair's appeal case was dismissed by the Supreme Court of Appeals yesterday. There is an indication that they will now approach the Constitutional Court. The Hawks' Hangwani Mulaudzi has clarified the issue when speaking to Sakina Kamwendo.
