ATTENTION: You are now entering the Debarkation Area. Our episode today is devoted to a favorite at Cinema Degeneration: the 1981 science-fiction action film ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. Join us as we escape into the near future world (of 1997) where the President of the United States (Donald Pleasence) crashes into Manhattan, which now serves as a giant maximum security prison. A convicted bank robber, Snake Plisskin (Kurt Russell) is given 24 hours to rescue the president in order to receive a pardon. He runs into a plethora of eccentric characters along the way played by Lee Van Cleef, Ernest Borgnine, Isaac Hayes, Harry Dean Stanton, Tom Atkins, and Adrienne Barbeau!
