John Doe: CC#163 His Folk Trio comes to the Old Church Concert Hall

This is another Coffeeshop Conversation although our guest is not in the cofeeshop, although I am. And that coffeeshop would be World Cup Coffee and Tea at NW 18th & Glisan. No, talking with us today through the miracle of Skype is John Doe of X and several other bands. He’s bringing his Folk Trio to the Old Church Concert Hall on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23. John’s no stranger to Portland having played here many times. Doesn’t matter if he’s playing Rock, Americana or in this case Folk. The question is what kind of Folk is he talking about. We’ll find out and let’s not be surprised if an X tune or two finds its way into another genre, he’s known for that. He’s one of the founders of Punk, has documented that in a book, with another on the way. He’s always interesting. Do I dare say, meet John Doe?
