Ants Under The Sun Norman Chella Ants Under The Sun is a narrative podcast about cultures, locations, and people. Zooming out beyond the differences in culture, values, environments, if we look at the big picture in society, we are all only human. From that far, we are all the same. Zooming out even further, the details blur, and we become specks, dots if you will, on a map. As if we are...Ants Under the Sun. The podcast is hosted by Norman Chella, an Iban-Malaysian. Having lived in multiple countries, he carries with him the experiences of different cultures and the differences between them. Ants Under The Sun is a part of Norman's group of shows. This Is Deep Play Joe Kennedy & Robert Molloy-Vaughan This Is Deep Play is a podcast that looks at football beyond the the rectangular narrative of the pitch and the mundanity of the television studio. As we consider fan culture, finance, politics, surrealism and history we begin to slip towards a great enchantment with both football and wider society. The more we get our heads round leveraged buyouts and definitions of 'Community Value' the more we idly dream of Ballardian conclusions and even supernatural happenings. Amidst football's standard issue knee-jerk opinions of There Is No Alternative and Against Modern Football, we're trying to look to the future. Join us, and join in. The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman, Vol. 4 by Laurence Sterne Loyal Books This is volume 4 of 4. -- The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman (or, more briefly, Tristram Shandy) is a novel by Laurence Sterne. It was published in nine volumes, the first two appearing in 1759, and seven others following over the next 10 years. It was not always held in high esteem by other writers (Samuel Johnson responded that, "Nothing odd can last"), but its bawdy humour was popular with London society, and it has come to be seen as one of the greatest comic novels in English, as well as a forerunner for many modern narrative devices. Borough by George Crabbe Loyal Books English village life and villagers in the east of England in the late 1700’s and early 1800s—is the subject of The Borough. George Crabbe was an English poet, surgeon, and clergyman. He is best known for his early use of the realistic narrative form and his descriptions of middle and working-class life and people. Lord Byron, an avowed admirer of Crabbe's poetry, described him as "nature's sternest painter, yet the best." Crabbe's poetry was predominantly in the form of heroic couplets, and has been described as unsentimental in its depiction of provincial life and society. Modern critic Frank Whitehead has said that "Crabbe, in his verse tales in particular, is an important–indeed, a major–poet whose work has been and still is seriously undervalued." A borough is an administrative division in various countries. In principle, the term borough designates a self-governing township although, in practice, official use of the term varies widely.
