John Silvester is an award-winning journalist, author and multi media presenter who has brought the biggest crime stories of our generation to readers, viewers and listeners across the country, and continues to do so.

The latest is the case that catapulted the regional Victorian town of Korumburra onto the world stage. Here, John offers his insight into The Death Cap Murders on Stan, a three part expose into the criminal case against Erin Patterson. A murder trial that transfixed, shocked and captivated attention around the globe.  As well as the inside story on the Death Cap trial, John shares his own colourful story as a journalist, from starting out on police rounds to drinking coffee and writing books with some of Australia's most notorious gangland figures like 'Chopper' Read and Carl Williams.

On a lighter note, it is a festive Food Poll, pitting two of the absolute Christmas favourites, snout to snood. What is your yuletide fancy - ham or turkey?
