April 19, 2024 - Friday 6:30PM Auditorium Speaker   Speaker: Dan Winkler 2 observations John felt loved by Jesus Could truly sing "Jesus Loves Me" Jesus selected 12 to be with him Inner circle - Peter Andrew James John Closest three - Peter James John John First apostle selected Last to see Jesus before He died Very last to see Jesus via Revelation 4x in the gospels - "the disciple whom Jesus loved" Not a sensual affection Not a Phil term Not a friendship or emotional term It was a logical term Wants what is best for the person loved John 11:3 he whom you loved is ill verb used in imperfect tense   Hebrews 2:18 "Jesus is sitting by God's side, but is on our side" Do you feel the love? Hebrews 4 When was the last time you called His name outside church?   Others knew John felt loved by Jesus John 20 Mary has seen stone rolled away She told Simon Peter and the other disciple Peter was a leader, but why was John told? Do people know you have a close relationship with our Lord? Do they know Jesus loves you? Then why are our buildings half empty?!   5 occasions John described himself in this light John 13:21-23 John 19:26 John felt alone The worst moment is when everyone is gone John 20:1 -2 After death of Jesus, when John probably felt broken John 21:7 Saw Jesus while at work Deja vu - cast net on other side John 21:20-25 Exalted his savior   Conclusion Bring glory to God!
