Join us on Storytime with Maceo as we embark on a journey through the classic book Harlem by Walter Dean Myers and illustrated by Christopher Myers. This powerful story of the African American experience is brought to life through rich details, vivid metaphors and historical references. On this episode of Storytime with Maceo, we invite you to share this meaningful experience with our son Maceo and our community. Our goal with our "Storytime with Maceo" series is to create a space where neurodiverse families can come together and support one another in their journey towards literacy. We believe that reading is not only a tool for education, but also a bridge to building a more inclusive community. Our sharing of children's stories with our son is our way of celebrating the possibilities in our neurodiverse community, while building bridges between neurodiverse and neurotypical families around a universal love of storytelling.
