He then joined the Marine Corps, serving as a radar operator for the HAWK Missile System. After his military service, Travis moved to the Boston area, where he worked for a financial services firm. Today, Travis is the host of the popular military and veterans podcast, Oscar Mike Radio, which has produced over 350 episodes and is in its sixth year of production. In addition to advocating for veterans through his podcast, Travis has done voice-over work and is currently narrating the audiobook “A Warrior’s Garden” by Malachias Gaskin. In 2022, Travis became an International Best Seller with his contribution to the anthology “Let Go or Be Dragged.” He has also contributed to "The Resilient Warrior," "Born in a Bar 2," and "Veterans Unchained 2.0." Beyond his professional achievements, Travis enjoys being a dad, spending time outdoors, archery, and riding his motorcycle.
