Jolie Glassman: Transforming Lives

from AGEIST · host David Stewart

What is holding you back from committing to yourself? What would it take for you to become your own hero? Does trying something out of your comfort zone intimidate you? Jolie Glassman, the owner and operator of South Beach Boxing, coaches the young and old through psychological blocks with the help of intense boxing training. Since opening her gym in 1998, Jolie has trained countless students and athletes. She has a palpable passion for helping her students feel their best, physically and mentally. From building integrity to committing to something greater than themselves, Jolie’s students are coached like athletes and taught that if you want to be strong, you have to do what strong does. While many of her students come to her to lose a couple pounds or to build more muscle, they leave her gym with much more -- mental and physical strength, drive, and respect for themselves. Jolie discusses how she helps her students commit to themselves, how to overcome a self doubt mindset, and what makes us strong. “When you’re confident and you’re strong, you can figure anything out. So that’s what I teach: strength and confidence.”“‘I can’t’ is not an option. ‘I quit’ is not an option. We are chasing mastery so we are relentless in the pursuit of getting better.”“People think strong is not feeling the emotion. It’s the opposite. It’s feeling it and going through it.” Listen to the SuperAge podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Learn more about Jolie and her gym, South Beach Boxing:www.JolieGlassman.com www.SouthBeachBoxing.comInstagram: @jolieglassman & @southbeachboxingSay hi to the AGEIST team!
