Jon Brown @LBC interview on 17/06/15 prompts important questions about NSPCC role

Jon Brown's interview contains no initiatives for prevention* of abuse of children despite the NSPCC being the National Society for the Prevention* of Cruelty to Children. Jon Brown refers to 'historic abuse' ....Where is he? The Government has dropped this offensive term for the CSA inquiry, the DPP does not use it and neither doesThames Valley Police. But the country's largest child protection charity does which could, as some think, demonstrate disregard. Mr Brown ducks a question about whether the lack of #CSA counselling is a Government issue by saying that the local community 'should demand it.' But what is early intervention and in what context? How is it delivered? 'Early intervention' sounds good and permits people to nod but what is it? Why didn't Mr Brown explain? At the close John Brown suggests 'if we (the NSPCC) can put pressure of Government to recognise this is a health issue....' When did the NSPCC ever exert pressure on Government to do anything?
