Jonathan and David brotherly love | 1Sam 18:1

As Saul grew jealous and sought to kill David, Jonathan risked his life to protect his friend, warned him with the arrow signal, and renewed their covenant. Jonathan died in battle (1 Samuel 31). Years later, King David honored the covenant: “Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” (2 Samuel 9:1) Such loyalty and friendship endures even after we depart.
