Are you jonesing for Jessica Jones? We know we are! Jonesing for Jessica discusses the hit Marvel and Netflix show Jessica Jones episode by episode. Graphic Policy Radio hosts Brett and Elana are discussing the series and are joined each week by special guests. For this week's episode the team is joined by Jaclyn Friedman to discuss the seventh episode "AKA Top Shelf Perverts." Malcom, Simpson and Trish go rogue to prevent Jessica from carrying out an extreme plan to outwit Kilgrave. Friedman's work has redefined the concept of "healthy sexuality" and popularized the "yes means yes" standard of sexual consent that is quickly becoming law on many US campuses. She's written multiple books, and is a popular speaker on campuses and at conferences across the U.S. and beyond. She has appeared as a guest on PBS News Hour, MSNBC's the Melissa Harris-Perry Show, the BBC and numerous other radio and television shows, and her commentary has appeared in outlets including CNN, Time, The Washington Post, The Nation, Jezebel and The Huffington Post. Friedman is a founder and the former Executive Director of Women, Action & the Media, where she led the successful #FBrape campaign to apply Facebook's hate-speech ban to content that promotes gender-based violence. She is also a charter member of CounterQuo, a coalition dedicated to challenging the ways we respond to sexual violence. Friedman holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College.
