Joseph Bradbury, Independence

from The Odyssey Storytelling Podcast

It was nearly three years ago that Joseph Bradbury opened Odyssey's Independence show with the story of his relationship with the concept of independence, and how it has evolved and changed over the course of his life. His original Odyssey bio has, at least for now, been lost to history, but he's about to tell you most of it himself -- from growing up a Mormon in Salt Lake City to bitterly cursing the city of Tucson from atop Mount Lemmon. Along the way, he discusses his quest to gain independence from a community that was very difficult to leave, the circumstances that found him alone with his dog in a strange new place, and the realization that independence might not be the greatest thing in the world, after all. This episode was performed and recorded in front of a live audience at The Screening Room in Tucson, AZ, on July 2nd, 2015, and was curated by Drew Cronyn.
