Welcome to the first episode of Unlock Your Inner Creator”, a series of conversations with passionate change makers and creatives that bravely dared to dream of new ways and took action. This initiative was launched in Spring 2021.  The first interview features Joseph Santos-Lyons, an organizer and minister based in Antipolo City, Philippines. Joseph co-created the Center for Organizing and Leadership (CORAL), a community space that supports organizers and provides a safe and brave space for healing and inspiration. The space includes co-housing, a multi-purpose room, a dining kitchen, a backyard with a fire circle, and a roof deck. The vision is to host retreats, workshops, and events that bring people together and foster connection and growth. Joseph shares his vision for CORAL, a community center in the Philippines that aims to create a safe and inclusive space for people to connect with nature and each other. He discusses the importance of building relationships with the local community and fostering a sense of belonging. Joseph also reflects on the similarities and differences between social justice work in the US and the Philippines, highlighting the need for cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
