Jesus was this good carpenters son, but Joseph himself also Jesus first son, Of the infant church then begun. Joseph and Mary, the first to pay homage at the living temple of the child Lord, Late to come were the Sages Who followed that star and saw - What the Angels proclaimed to the shepherds, Later what Christ Himself would reveal, That knowledge of the Messiahs arrival, To this gentle Joseph revealed. Joseph and Mary were the infant Church, While Christ was still growing - All through His childhood and 20ies, Sharing with them His deep knowing. His beauty filled their small humble household, And both father and Son worked with wood, Together they lived unencumbered, Such love was there; gentle and good. Mary, Joseph and Jesus, a little family of 3 - Such a family of love; including both you and me.
