from Running In Circles · host Zach Hamilton
One of the Most unique stories in the sport. Today on the podcast I’m joined by Josh Hoey! This summer Josh placed 4th in the 800m at the U.S. Olympic Trials and has a personal best in the event of 1:43.8! He also got 2nd at the prestigious 5th Ave Mile in New York City against a stacked field. In December of 2023 Josh had some tough races including one where he ran 1:49 in the 800, but as we discuss in this episode he didn’t let it get him down. Originally he was committed to Oregon in high school but decided to forgo that and sign pro with Adidas. His contract was going to expire this year so at a point he even thought it might be his last year running as a pro.
