There are certainly times when God’s call is immediate and seems irrational, but as Pastor Richard will point out in today’s message, God works just as much or even more through methodical times of seeking His will in prayer, study, and consultation with other believers. It still may lead us to seemingly irrational actions – the Israelite army marching around the walls of Jericho is a prime example – but it doesn’t have to be something done on a whim without any critical thinking.
