Drawing upon the writings and research of Dr. William Anderson Gittens, D.D., the analysis explores the lineage of owners and builders of this iconic plantation house and delineates the architectural materials that defined its enduring structure. Through this analysis, a deeper understanding of Barbados’s colonial heritage and architectural practices is achieved.
