Journey from Egypt to Mt Zion Pt 10 ~ Journeying to Mt Sinai

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

When we seek to do the will of the Father, He will take us to the Promised land. The purpose of the children of Israel coming out of Egypt was not just to put the blood of the lamb on the doorposts, which prophetically foreshadows salvation in Messiah. That was not the end goal. That was just the beginning of the journey to the Promised land: And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. Deuteronomy 6:23 We see a biblical pattern. The nation of Israel was “saved by grace through faith”, and then they went to Mount Sinai to step into a marriage covenant with the receiving of the Ten Commandments. Similarly, after we are saved, we are to live out our salvation by following the Torah by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Pharaoh and his army drowned in the Red Sea. Spiritually, this represents that we are not totally free from Egyptian bondage (sin) until the death of Pharaoh’s authority over our lives (we crucify the flesh). We are redeemed out of Egypt and the world to serve Yeshua. In this segment, we also look at the 50 day count of the omer leading up to Shavuot/Pentecost. Counting the omer represents growing in spiritual maturity. Are these teachings a blessing to you?
