Journey from Egypt to Mt Zion Pt 5 ~ Parable of Sower & Redemption from Egypt
from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney
Believing the promises of God will be patterned after the parable of the sower. In this teaching segment we will learn how the parable of the sower is applied in the situation with Moses as he brings the promise of redemption and deliverance to the children of Israel. This promise is “tested” through their circumstances. In Exodus 3:19 and Exodus 5:2, we see that Pharoah rejects the word of the Lord: And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. Mark 4:15 Then persecution arises to “test” the promise of God: And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw. Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished. Exodus 5:10-11 In the midst of the persecution, the children of Israel become offended: And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake. Mark 4:16-17 The physical journey that the children of Israel went through in leaving Egypt is a spiritual blueprint for each and every believer. Are these teachings a blessing to you?
