Journey from Egypt to Mt Zion Pt 9 ~ See the Salvation of the LORD!

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

In this teaching segment, we continue looking at the spiritual meaning and significance of Passover and how this applies to our spiritual walk. On the Passover, the lamb was roasted with fire. Fire represents judgment: And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. Exodus 9:23 Fire also represents the trials and tribulations we go through for the purpose of refining and purifying us. In this segment, we also look at the Feast of Unleavened bread. Leaven in the Bible represents sin.Unleavened bread represents holiness and living our lives in truth and sincerity of heart. Unleavened bread is associated with seeking to live a consecrated and sanctified life. We also see in the deliverance and redemption out of Egypt that the nation of Israel was saved by faith through grace. This is a Torah concept. The children of Israel literally “see” the salvation of the LORD when they came to the Red sea. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.
