Journey of Self-Awareness and Empowerment with Tiffany Anton

from Connecting the Dots with Jessica Caresse · host Jessica Caresse

The path to becoming Vice President of The Biz Foundry wasn't a straight line for Tiffany Anton. Though she started her career with a mathematics degree and education certification, teaching high school in Virginia for five years, life took an unexpected turn with the birth of her first daughter. This led to moves across the country – New Mexico and then back south to Cookeville, Tennessee – where her second daughter was born. Settling in Cookeville, Tiffany's passion for helping others blossomed. Volunteering with the Heart of the City playground build and Blood Assurance sparked a fire, leading her to use her social media skills for the Cookeville Children's Museum. This volunteer work blossomed into a larger position, where she honed her skillset. Opportunity knocked in 2017 when The Biz Foundry advertised a marketing position. Though Tiffany initially thought it might be a small part-time role, it turned out to be a pivotal moment in her career. One of her first major projects was creating "Start Here," a free magazine highlighting local Upper Cumberland entrepreneurs. This ignited a passion for supporting small businesses, and Tiffany hasn't looked back since. Her journey at The Biz Foundry has been diverse. From organizing events and workshops to revamping memberships and managing the co-working space, Tiffany has worn many hats. But her most inspiring venture might be the "Powered by Her" podcast, featuring female founders. Driven by a desire to empower entrepreneurs, Tiffany welcomes your ideas! Whether it's workshops, connections, or networking events, she's there to help you imagine, launch, and grow your business. 00:00 Introduction 00:35 Welcome and Guest Introduction 01:33 Tiffany's Journey to VP of the Biz Foundry 04:22 Day-to-Day Life as VP 07:40 Challenges and Learning in Leadership 10:18 Self-Awareness and Personal Growth 14:06 Balancing Personal and Professional Life 16:54 Finding Purpose and Passion 23:32 Reflecting on Career and Values 26:27 Sharing Personal Journey and Impact 27:20 Finding Your Calling Beyond Traditional Roles 27:56 Overcoming Self-Doubt and Building Confidence 29:42 Embracing Self-Acceptance and Personal Growth 33:39 Navigating Life Changes and Self-Discovery 36:54 Understanding and Managing Personal Challenges 39:59 Finding Lightness and Joy in Everyday Life 49:40 Advice for Breaking the Cycle and Finding Passion 52:00 Conclusion and Where to Find More Learn more about Tiffany's journey and her approach to personal and professional development in her interview with Jessica Caresse on the "Connecting the Dots" podcast.
