Born with an inverted floating heart, a condition where her heart was located in her back without a pericardium to hold it in place, she was told she shouldn’t have lived past childhood. After an eight-hour procedure, blood transfusions, and organ failure, doctors didn’t know if she would make it.But in the midst of uncertainty, a miracle happened. While running tests, doctors discovered something that left them in shock, she was 22 weeks pregnant. The baby inside her had kept her alive, pumping life into her body when she was on the verge of death.
