Journey Psalms

These fifteen Psalms of Ascent, sung by ancient pilgrims journeying to Jerusalem for the annual feasts, form a theological journey from exile to worship, reflecting the spiritual pilgrimage of God's people. Beginning in distress and dispersion—symbolized by the distant lands of Meshech and Kedar—they move through themes of divine defense, longing for God's presence, and dependence on His mercy, culminating in the arrival at Zion, where God's blessings are experienced in peace, perseverance, pardon, and profound unity.
