JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM - Day 05 - Adam & Eve  GREATER GLORY OF GOD Podcast Presents Advent Special JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM Fifth Day in the company of the First Parents – Adam & Eve Two things: 1. Know the person(s) 2. See the Birth of Jesus through their eyes Let’s know them: They were FIRST in many things:           - The FIRST humans           - The FIRST parents           - The FIRST to disobey God and sin           - The FIRST to hear the promise of a Saviour  They were First in still many more things They were the closest persons to God. They had the privilege of:           - having been made by the hands of God directly,          - having walked with God in person,          - having been in fullness of Grace-state. Birth of Jesus through their eyes In a way, they are a cause for the Incarnation. It’s through them that sin came into the world! Romans 5:12, “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death came through sin, and so death spread to all because all have sinned” God promised them that He would send a Saviour born of a woman! Genesis 3:15 The Lord God said to the serpent, “I will put enmity between you and the woman,    and between your offspring and hers; he will strike your head,    and you will strike his heel.” Both had been waiting for this day when the redeemer would be born from their own offspring, their own blood. They had no idea of the aftereffect of the Original sin before they sinned. There was nothing they could do to rectify or undo what they had done. They are now in great joy having heard about the birth of the long awaited Saviour of the world. Let’s travel to Bethlehem in that same expectation and joy with which our First Parents would have done. Today we are looking at the Birth of the Lord, through the eyes of Adam & Eve.
