Anne and Joachim  - Wife of St. Joseph  - Mother of Jesus, the Son of God   - Different names – the litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary  - According to the heavenly hierarchy  – Mary comes just after the Most Holy Trinity and before the Angels   - Immaculate – sinless womb for His Son – for enfleshment / incarnation   - Second Eve – the Woman – mentioned in Genesis, Isaiah, Revelation and many other places   - First Eve – the mother of all living (Genesis 3:20)  - Mary – Second Eve – the mother of all saved (John 19:25-27)  - The Word became flesh – took the flesh from Mary (John 1:14)  Luke 2:19  But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them IN HER HEART.    Luke 2:51  His mother treasured all these things IN HER HEART.   Luke 11:27-28 True Blessedness While he was saying this, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that nursed you!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”   Jesus, the Son of God – the Word wants to take flesh – want to be present to His people in flesh / body    God is Looking for people like Mary – hearing the Word and giving flesh    Her attitude when Jesus was in her womb - Mary in adoration
