Journey's End
from John Dyhouse · host John Dyhouse
I now have three levels of song writing which I use. The first and my preferred way, is to write the lyrics myself and writing the melodies to support them after deciding on a chord sequence. For AI generated songs - if I am investigating some specific meta tag - I do allow the AI to generate the lyrics to my specifications (usually a title and a short synopsis of the content). A third way, if I am feeling lazy, or seeing some good lines, is to take the AI generated lyric and break it down and rebuild it myself to improve the rhyming or construction as I see fit. This song is one of those later, it allows me to write songs using subject matter I would not normally use. I do have many other ways of finding subject matter for songs which does not rely on computers. Anyway, this time I did use an AI start and rewrote more than 80% of the lines. Not sure it is one of my best but love the way the AI has captured the feelings in the music which I had attempted to cover in the lyric. I may use the new "cover" feature in Suno to redo this song with changes to the lyric.
