Joy - Advent 2024

from Grenola UMC Sermons Hosted by Grenola UMC

Advent joy is not shallow cheerfulness—it is the deep gladness that comes from knowing God’s salvation is near. John the Baptist’s call to repentance prepared the way for hearts to rejoice in the coming Messiah. The psalms remind us that even in sorrow, we can trust God’s steadfast love, while Paul urges believers to rejoice always, anchored in the peace of Christ. True joy is found in hearing the Shepherd’s voice and resting secure in His hand. Join us as Pastor Kenny leads us into the joy of Advent, a joy that endures through every season. Scriptures Luke 3:7-18 John 10:27-31 Psalm 13:1-14:1 Philippians 4:4-7
