Joy Amid Hard Times | Daniel Ritchie

from Houston's First Baptist Church Hosted by Daniel Ritchie

Born without arms, Daniel Ritchie, Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention, shares that life can be really hard, and circumstances will often disappoint. But Romans 15:13 points us to a God who is not just a giver of hope but the very source of it. Christian hope is not fragile or dependent on outcomes. It is grounded in the unshakeable reality that Jesus reigns and His story ends in victory. Joy is not a feeling tied to circumstances but a choice available to every believer. Peace comes through prayer and intentional practice, not through getting life to cooperate. God is not looking for polished, perfect people to use. He is looking for ordinary people who trust an extraordinary God and let His hope overflow into the world around them.
